Mustard Seed Gatherings

In an effort to develop and clarify our mission here at Grace, Vestry members will be hosting small groups to discuss and receive feedback from parishioners. In the coming weeks you will be receiving an invitation asking for your RSVP. Please take a few moments to submit your reply and an hour or two to lend your voice to the future of Grace Church. We look forward to hearing from you!

Shelter Meal

You should have seen the whirlwind of children who set up the guild hall with fruit and snacks and prepared the tables for dinner. Thanks to their energy and that of some wonderful food- preparers, servers and cleaners, the April 7 meal was delicious and greatly appreciated by the shelter guests. Come and volunteer in May and be part of  "sharing-of-the-bread" Call Watts 244 9424 or togracesheltermeal@gmail.com

April Book Group

Our new deacon, The Rev. Carol Smith, hosts the Grace Book Group Wed. Apr. 16, 7 p.m. Her home is 4522 Aztec Trail in Fitchburg; 230-6888. Please join Grace readers at (what we hope is) the first meeting of spring.
The book, Iain Pears' The Dream of Scipio, has been called easy to read and yet "complex, surprising and thought provoking".   Widely available, it is out in paperback and the public library system has many copies.

Chris would like to extend a huge thank you to those who helped transport and stock. Below are more pictures from the day:

Stan Richardson and Steve Wood were our drivers. School groups help to load the trucks with food.

Nancy Griswald and Steve Wood help stock the food.

Wow! You Make A Difference!

In response to the Bishop's Haiti appeal and Rev. Patrick Raymond's message last Sunday, Grace parishioner's and friends donated almost $2,700 to the Haiti Project. This is above and beyond the $800 in special Easter donations made to the project. Others are continuing to inquire about how they can help and what Grace can do to raise money for those afflicted. Your generous response will truly have an amazing impact!
