Outreach:

All are welcome to participate in Grace outreach programs. Some (such
as the meals program for the men's shelter and the Grace Food
Pantry) are sustained by many supportive souls from throughout Dane
County. Please join us as we seek to serve others in Christ's name.

"So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. But someone will say, 'You have faith and I have works.' Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith."

James 2:16-18

Drop-In Men's Shelter:

In the basement of our education wing Porchlight, Inc. provides shelter and food for homeless men every night of the year. For more information about Porchlight programs, including housing and Porchlight products, visit their Website.

Shelter Dinners & Breakfasts:

Churches throughout Madison collaborate to provide meals each day for residents of the homeless shelter.  Grace Church provides a shelter dinner the first Monday night of the month and a shelter breakfast the first Tuesday morning of the month. Volunteers welcome!

Food Pantry:

Located in the newer west wing of Grace Church and accessible through a separate entry in our garden courtyard, the pantry distributes food donated by individuals, churches, and other organizations or purchased with cash donations. Volunteers distribute food to those in need Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 3 pm. On Tuesday mornings, we have special pantry hours for Spanish-language guests and in addition offer an English-language tutoring program for Hispanic families on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am.

Meals on Wheels:

This citywide program coordinated by Home Health United delivers
meals to elderly and shut-in people. Grace is responsible for Sunday
noon meals in August and February. Volunteers pick up and deliver the
meals by car; a route takes from 60 to 90 minutes. If Sundays don’t
work with your schedule, consider another day.

United Thank Offering (UTO):

This annual program provides a personal way for each of us to give
daily thanks to God. Save your extra change as a tangible way to give
thanks for your blessings. Collections are taken twice a year to
support grants awarded for projects all over the world.
